The Esmé Apron, aptly named after my sister who loves to bake, has been a work in progress for many years. I have made so many different prototypes based on many different beautiful crossover aprons I have found and admired - including beautiful African aprons my sister brought back from a trip to Malawi. The crossover design undoubtedly makes this apron for me - with no ties you can literally throw it on and it looks effortlessly beautiful. This simple, linen version is without any pockets because who uses pockets on aprons anyway? But if you think you can find a use for a front pocket, I can add one just for you!
